An introduction (to idols).

Let's pretend that other first post didn't exist.

Okay hi, I'm Wendy. This is my blog for Writer's Craft class. (Though that's probably not completely obvious, huh.)

I'm going to tell you guys about myself. Generally I tend to avoid telling people my interests in detail when they're getting to know me since it weirds people out, but since it's all I do on the internet, I think it's inevitable on here. I listen to Japanese music, or more specifically, Japanese idol music. Idols are... young-ish girls who work in different kinds of entertainment (music, modeling, etc). There's this group that's really big in Japan right now called AKB48. There are 48 girls in the group (ha ha ha I'm not kidding right now):

(Not to mention the trainees and the two sister groups AND the upcoming other sister group... there will be like, 200 girls in the near future. For real.)

They're an idol group divided into 3 teams (Team A, Team K, Team B [and the trainees, Team Kenkyuusei, who aren't in that picture]) who perform almost daily at their personal theatre in Akihabara, the nerd district of Tokyo.

ANYWAYS. This is leading up to my reasoning behind my blog title (which I think is pretty awesome, personally). Where's that from? Well, it's right underneath. "わがままな流れ星", romanized as "Wagamama na Nagareboshi". It's a Team K duet song. In all honesty, I basically went through all their songs looking for a good title translation to use as a blog title. I've been blogging about Japanese music for almost 3 years so it's practically an instinct to use some Japanese thing as a title. Also, in my description, the rest of the Japanese (私の願いを叶えて) means "watashi no negai wo kanaete" or "make my wish come true." It's a pretty cutesy song (and one of the girls has a really terrible voice) so, take it as a warning:

On the topic of AKB48, this girl is my life:

Watanabe Mayu (nickname: Mayuyu) of AKB48's Team B. I won't get too into my creepiness since it's creepy but she means a lot to me. Since I talk about her a lot and stuff, I think it's an important thing to bring up while talking about myself.

So anyways I think I've creeped enough for a while. If anybody actually reads all this, I'll be really surprised. But yeah, I'd rather nobody rip on me for being a creep. A lot of people have hobbies or musical artists that they're really hardcore about, so.
